We are currently partnering with a well-established transport and fleet services business in Darwin, NT and are seeking a Workshop Mechanic for a full-time ongoing role.

About the Opportunity
We are currently partnering with a well-established transport and fleet services business in Darwin, NT and are seeking a Workshop Mechanic for a full-time ongoing role.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a hands-on environment maintaining heavy vehicles and supporting essential transport operations in the region.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Service and repair heavy vehicles, trucks, trailers, and associated equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Complete preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety and roadworthy standards
- Maintain accurate workshop documentation and records
- Support parts handling and workshop logistics
- Assist with breakdown callouts when required
- Maintain a safe and efficient workshop environment
- Provide support and mentoring to apprentices
- Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and repair experience
- Experience with trucks and heavy fleet maintenance
- HR licence preferred
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills
- Ability to work in a remote / regional environment advantageous
- Stable, full-time ongoing employment
