About the Role
Reporting to the Transport Operations Team, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating Sideloaders safely and efficiently.
- Transporting, loading and unloading shipping containers.
- Completing container movements to and from Melbourne wharves, container parks and customer sites.
- Ensuring all loads are appropriately secured and transported safely.
- Completing pre-start checks, transport documentation and relevant paperwork.
- Maintaining compliance with all road transport, NHVR and workplace safety requirements.
- Communicating effectively with fleet controllers, customers and operational teams.
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Current HC or MC driver's licence – essential.
- Proven Sideloader operating experience – essential.
- Current MSIC card – essential.
- Sound knowledge of Melbourne's wharves, container parks and surrounding transport networks.
- Strong understanding of load restraint and safe container handling practices.
- A reliable, professional attitude and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads effectively.
